The overall revenue of Formosa Plastics Group in 2025 was NT$1.9279 trillion, which is a decrease of 8.3%, or NT$17.4 billion, from 2024. FPG’s pre-tax profit dropped to NT$15.2 billion, a drastic decrease of NT$9 billion, or 37.4%, from 2024.
The overall revenue of Formosa Plastics Group (FPG) in 2024 was NT$2.1019 trillion, which is a decrease of 1.1% or NT$22.5 billion from 2023. FPG’s pre-tax profit dropped to NT$24.2 billion, a drastic decrease of NT$31.4 billion or 56.5% from 2023.
Impacted by the continued global economic slump, FPG’s overall revenue in 2023 is NT$2.1245 trillion, a decrease of NT$528.9 billion or 20% from 2022. This is mostly due to an oversupply of overall products and weak demand resulting in a sharp fall in prices that compressed profits in the petrochemical industry. The pretax profit in 2023 is NT$55.6 billion, a drastic decrease of NT$141.1 billion or 72% compared to 2022.
Impacted by the sharp reversal of the global economic climate, FPG’s overall revenue in 2022 is NT$2.5968 trillion, which is a small increase of NT$136 billion or 5.5% from 2021. However, the rise in overall costs reduced profits in the petrochemical industry, and as a result, the pretax profit in 2022 was NT$195.6 billion, a drastic decrease of NT$275.6 billion or 58.5% compared to 2021.
