FPG systematically promotes health care measures by providing healthy and safe work environments, and good training programs. FPG also sets clear goals for employees to follow and help them to utilize their capacity and participate in the measures actively.

Friendly Work Environment

To understand the actual work environment of employees and evaluate the exposure to hazardous factors as the basis for improving the work environment, FPG has entrusted Taiwan Occupation Hygiene Association to execute the operating environment monitoring of the Mailiao Park. The monitoring results are lower than the standards of permissible exposure limits both domestically and foreignly. The execution results are announced to all employees for acknowledgment, and the essay is published in the international index journal, at academic seminars, and in the magazine of FPG.

Promote Healthy Diet

Healthy and high-quality food ingredients for catering: In 2021, the staff cafeteria performed radiation inspections on food ingredients and aquatic products of 1,289 batches, pesticide residue inspection on vegetables and fruits of 8,305 batches, and bulk food ingredients and food hygiene inspection of 33 batches. All inspection results are announced to all employees for acknowledgment.

Promotion of diet nutrition, and food safety and health for employees: A dietitian is invited to promote diet nutrition health education information, diet inspection reports published by government agencies, and international diet research reports monthly.

Healthy diet management: The staff cafeteria invited a dietitian for assistance in cooking, usage of condiments, food selection, and menu design improvement, setting the goal for lowering the ratio of fried dishes by 6%. 4,159 dishes in the staff cafeteria are inspected each month, and there are less than 228 fried dishes.

Improve Employees' Health

Except for health inspection items stipulated by laws and regulations, FPG actively adds cancer screening items of AFP, CEA, and oral mucosa, in response to the self-health management of employees. 34 additional out-of-pocket health inspection items are also provided. Furthermore, for employees engaging in operations with particular hazards such as noise or particular chemical substances, special health care checks are arranged. FPG also implements different levels of health management and there is no abnormal occupational disease found in the execution results.

In response to the public first-aid policy implemented by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, FPG sets up a total of 266 automated external defibrillators (AED) in the Park and has organized CPR and AED educational training for employees to reinforce their first-aid capacities.

The Park has medical staff to provide personal health guidance and consultation. The employees can enjoy health management measures such as weight management, tobacco hazard prevention, health lectures, preventive healthcare, and injury treatment.

Create a Healthy Workplace

FPG has been participating in the Healthy Working Place Excellence Award by the Ministry of Health and Welfare since 2010. As of 2021, FPG has received the award for 12 consecutive years, and 30 departments have received the award in total. FPG also filmed a video regarding the excellent practices in the factory and explained to the public in the press conferences, hoping to set an example for others to follow and allowing everyone to jointly spend efforts for the physical and mental well-being in the workplace.
