FPG's 35th Sports Day is scheduled to be held on November 10th (Saturday) at 8 a.m. at Ming Chi University of Technology. It will be hosted by Chairman Wong WenYuan himself. The event will be joined by 16 teams, including the general management office, Formosa Plastics Corporation, Nan Ya Plastics, Formosa Chemicals & Fibre Corporation, Formosa Petrochemical Corp., Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Corporation, overseas representatives, Ming Chi University of Technology, Ming Chi Alumni, Chang Gung, Formosa Taffeta, Association of FPG Retirees, First Commercial Bank, Chunghwa Post, AND Hefei Guoxuan Gaoke Power Energy; the total number of participants was over 5,000.
This year, the competitions include track and field, swimming, ball games, tug-of-war, and fun competitions. There will also be a fun fair, cheerleading performances, cultural and arts exhibitions. The event's theme is "FPG Cares for Taiwan and Spreads Love." The event will invite professional cheerleading clubs and dance groups to perform the assembly dance. With their young and vibrant performances, FPG would like to show its long-term care for all groups in society and takes action to give back to society and protect Taiwan. FPG also hopes to let more people know about the enterprise.
At the same time, this year coincides with the tenth anniversary of founder Wang Yung-Ching's death, as well as the fourth anniversary of Wang Yung-Tsai's death. In order to commemorate their lifelong work and profound contributions to Taiwanese society, a "Special Exhibition in Memory of the Founders of Formosa Plastics Group" is set up on the second floor of the Tuzi Building, hoping to show the two founders' spirit of overcoming adversity, as well as their charitable work and selfless mind. FPG aims to gather positive energy and provide momentum for Taiwanese society to move forward. On the day of the event, there will also be 8 photo-taking spots and places where the two founders had visited on the campus, allowing guests to visit places where the two founders had been in the past as if they were still present.
