Being a good neighbor
FPG actively plays the role of a good neighbor through visits and communication with local units, gathering together environmental protection volunteers, promoting flea markets, giving thoughtful gifts during holidays, showing care for elderly people, children, and other minorities, organizing art performances, middle and elementary school camps, offering health examinations and follow-up, and organizing health education events.
Visits, communication, and building a bridge for mutual trust and assistance
We have good neighborliness teams or volunteer groups at the administration office of each factory to carry out work for being a good neighbor. We send personnel to visit environmental protection or local organizations, village and neighborhood offices, neighbors, local personages, and government agencies each month to listen to their opinions. The good neighborliness team periodically sends members to participate in town hall meetings to fully understand their needs and opinions, and provide detailed answers to questions. The team actively promotes FPG policies in neighborhoods, so that community residents will understand FPG's efforts, and create harmonious relations with mutual trust and support.

Planning and promoting corporate volunteers
To create a culture of volunteer service where employees voluntarily provide services, FPG has organized different volunteer activities over the years, and encouraged employees to use their holidays (leave days) or after they get off work to clean the environment or providing tutoring (or accompany students while they study) at excellent social welfare organizations registered with the government. We also encouraged employees to assist related units in organizing events, such as donating supplies needed by orphanages, making dumplings with orphans, cleaning the environment, making donations, providing volunteer services, providing after-class tutoring to children of underprivileged families, and organizing celebrations.
FPG began registering the number of volunteer service hours in 2011, and employees received an incentive for every 15 hours of volunteer services, recognizing employees for volunteer work while calling on even more employees to provide warmth in society.
Environmental protection volunteer day and flea market
We continue to organize the "environmental protection volunteer day" event under our good neighborliness policy to bring us closer to local residents, and encourage employees to serve as volunteers in cleaning up the environment and engaging in other volunteer work in nearby communities by using their holidays (leave days) or one hour before they get to work, such as cleaning up communities, cleaning up mountain areas and beaches, and environmental protection volunteer activities; or forming an environmental protection volunteer group that cleans surrounding roads at the entrance of factories and nearby mountain trails, improves the surrounding environment, and cleans mountain areas. We adopted beaches in Dakenggu and Dingliao, and made arrangements for supervisors and employees to pick up trash and driftwood on the beaches during the holidays, keeping clean beaches for nature. We organized flea markets to promote environmental protection, waste reduction, and recycling and reuse, and asked employees and residents of nearby neighborhoods to provide used goods for the charity sale. Proceeds from the charity sale and supplies were donated to charities.

Participating in local activities and giving back to local communities
FPG has engaged in local charity activities since it was established, including large charity events organized by nearby agencies, schools and organizations, such as: county/city government ball game tournaments, events and contests organized by institutions for persons with disabilities, temple fairs, school anniversary sports meet, village resident self-improvement activities, or celebrations. We send employees to assist in organizing the events and maintain good interactions with local communities.
Care for underprivileged groups and families in straitened circumstances
FPG periodically organizes charity sales and school fairs for underprivileged children, in order to further show its care for communities, give back to local residents, and care for underprivileged groups and families (students) in straitened circumstances. Proceeds from the charity sale are donated to a fund for school lunch, to assist students from families in straitened circumstances, and subsidize scholarships for impoverished students.
Furthermore, FPG employees and vendors have formed charitable clubs that voluntarily provide emergency aid for elderly people, children, underprivileged groups, and local residents. FPG hopes that the long-term care provided by companies and all employees will spread humanistic care and love to every corner of society, and create a peaceful, loving, and warm society.

Embracing rural areas for traditional culture to strike root
FPG began working with Ming Hwa Yuan Arts & Cultural Group, Paperwindmill Theatre, I Wan Jan Puppet Troupe, and Ifkids Theatre Studio in 2011 to pass down Taiwan's traditional arts and highlight features of local culture. We selected factories in Yilan, Changhua, Yunlin, Chiayi, and Kaohsiung as venues for performances, so that national-level theater performances will be accessible by local residents for aesthetic education. As of the end of 2020, the total number of viewers has reached 366,000 person-times, and positive responses were received from audiences at every performance.
