In response to global environmental protection issues, we will continue to promote the use of eco-friendly products and equipment that are more energy efficient or use green construction materials, so as to reduce the impact on the environment. The policy and specific measures are as follows:

01

Differentiate green materials

We have over 5,000 entries of material numbers after comparing the data announced by the Environmental Protection Administration, including products with energy-saving, water-saving, eco-friendly, green construction materials, carbon footprint, and carbon reduction marks (labels).

02

Add prompt and inquiry mechanisms

When a requisition is made for materials, the computer will compare and automatically prompt the user to use numbers for green materials in the requisition, ensuring that green materials are given priority. Green materials are updated according to government announcements each month, and may be accessed by by departments.

03

Comprehensive control of green material procurement

  • After analyzing consumable materials, we found that 86% of green materials were cheaper than non-green materials, and among the 14% of green materials that were more expensive, the price difference was within 10% in 80% of the cases. We implemented controls to give priority to green materials if the price difference is within 10% and less than NT$1 million, in order to show our determination to promote green procurement.
  • If a project able to purchase green materials chooses not to after evaluation, it will be subject to review by the company's review department to determine its reasonableness.
