Care for employee health
FPG continues to implement health promotion measures in a planned and organized way, provides employees with a healthy and safe work environment, gives employees clear goals to follow, and allows employees to utilize their abilities and become willing to actively participate.
Friendly work environment
To monitor the work environment and determine employees' exposure to hazardous factors, which is used as the basis for improving the work environment, FPG monitors operating environments in accordance with the law, and also commissioned Taiwan Occupational Hygiene Association to assess the individual exposure of employees based on the standard analysis method of the US NIOSH (National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) and UK HSE (Health and Safety Executive). Assessment results show that the concentrations of employee exposure were lower than the allowed occupational exposure in Taiwan and overseas. Besides announcing the results to employees, the results were also published in international journals, academic conferences, and FPG's magazine.

Promotion of healthy diet
We tested 8,316 cases of fruits and vegetables served by the employee cafeteria for pesticide residue in 2024. If it exceeded the control limit, the factory management office will return or destroy the fruits or vegetables. We also commissioned SGS to conduct 38 cases of hygiene examnation for bulk food materials and products, and test results all met standards. The results were announced to employees so they will feel safe eating at the cafeteria.
We organized events to promote knowledge on diet, nutrition, and food safety and health, and invited nutritionists to announce information on diet, nutrition, and health education, food test reports announced by government agencies, and introduction to food ingredients each month.
FPG invited nutritionists to help adjust the cooking method, use of seasoning, food ingredient selection, and improve the menu design for employee meals. Our goal is to lower the percentage of fried dishes to under 6%, and monthly inspections of the average of 4,128 dishes served by the employee cafeteria found that the number of fried dishes was under 224.
In addition, in order to take care of employees' diet and health, the factory management unit works with catering manufacturers to carry out independent verification of kitchen staff and restaurant environmental hygiene everyday. Every year, the safety health and environmental center and the factory management unit jointly verify 12 factory areas. the abnormal ratio of kitchen staff and restaurant environmental hygiene in 2024 was 1.8%.

The local agriculture production and marketing group is given priority when purchasing the 75 types of vegetables used in employee meals

To ensure the safety of vegetables used, we provided guidance to 8 parks to begin testing for pesticide residue in August 2015

Food ingredients are accepted if acetylcholinesterase (AChE)<34%
Promote employee health
In addition to health examination items required by law, we also added cancer screening, including AFP, CEA, and oral mucosa, and resting electrocardiogram. We also provide 35 health examination items that employees can pay for in coordination with their own health management. For employees that engage in special hazardous works, such as noise and specific chemical substances, we provide special health examinations and implement health management by categories. Results did not show any occupation related abnormalities.
In response to the Ministry of Health and Welfare's public first aid policy, FPG set up 266 automated external defibrillator (AED) in the park, and organized employee CPR and AED training to strengthen employees' first aid ability.
Parks have medical personnel that provide personal health guidance and advice. Employees enjoy a healthcare system with weight management, tobacco hazard prevention, health seminars, preventive healthcare, and injury and illness treatment.

Parks periodically organize health seminars to provide correct knowledge

Create a healthy workplace
FPG began participating in the Excellent Healthy Workplace Award of the Ministry of Health and Welfare in 2010, and won the award for 15 consecutive years as of 2024. A total of 37 departments have received the award, and a video on excellent methods of factory offices was produced. FPG also attended press conferences to explain its efforts in hopes that others will follow its lead in improving physical and mental health in the workplace.
