Starting in July 2022, Formosa Plastics Group implemented a childbirth incen-tive in order to fulfill our corporate social responsibility and encourage employ-ees to start families. In addition to providing an exquisite gift bag when an em-ployee or their spouse is pregnant or gives birth, the company will offer congrat-ulations in the form of a NT$20,000 childbirth reward for every newborn baby and NT$2,000 in monthly support for each infant until they reach 6 years of age.

Formosa Plastics Group Joins Employees to Nurture and Care for Infants
As encouragement and support for employee starting their families, Formosa Plastics Group will issue a childbirth reward of NT$20,000 for every newborn to celebrate and welcome a new life; on the other hand, it also encourages employ-ees to improve the national birth rate; also, in an effort to reduce employees' eco-nomic burden for preschool children, they will receive monthly support of NT$2,000 per child as an allowance for nurturing their children until they reach the age of 6. Once employees' children enter schools, the welfare committee of companies will also allow for the application of scholarships till university of graduate studies.This will encourage the children of employees to focus on their education while also establishing a good attitude towards learning and proactive spirit for the next generation.
Estimates place an average of 850 newborns per year across the entire group, meaning the added childbirth incentives will result in annual subsidies of approx-imately NT$140 million.
