[Happy Mailiao] Yunlin healthcare – My dream to become a nurse

Yunlin Chang Gung Memorial Hospital is located in Mailiao Township with flourishing agriculture, and aims to promote social welfare and benefits. This is the ideal that brought nursing supervisor Tsai Li-Chin from Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital to Yunlin Mailiao.

Mailiao and Taixi began providing health examinations free of charge in 2011. Even though it provided effective care for local residents, many residents could not benefit due to poor mobility. Nursing supervisor Tsai Li-Chin discovered that a resident actually walked barefoot under the sun for two hours to the hospital. Seeing the inconvenience, simplicity and naturalness of rural areas, and being concerned about the residents, she began using different methods to actively help local residents maintain their health outside the hospital.
