Kong Fan Temple culture preservation – Guardians of culture

There is a place in Taiwan where traditional culture flows through its veins. Pioneers that immigrated to Mailiao from Quanzhou during the Daoguang Period were mainly from the Hsu, Lin, and Wu clans, and formed settlements of relatives. The Mazu Temple here – Kong Fan Temple is the belief center that linked together the settlements, and the belief and pilgrimage event built relationships between residents of different settlements, allowing local culture to be passed down like a river.

This place is an epitome of all townships in Taiwan, the only difference is that it is flourishing and growing, gathering together young people who are full of energy.
